SWIS FC was formed in 2010 in honour of Sajid Wyaid and Imran Shah.

Imran Passed away on 27th of November 2006 after a horrific incident at work, he was just 24 years of age and used to enjoy playing both Football and Cricket for local teams.

Sajid Wyaid was born and raised in Banbury but sadly passed away on 22 May 2006  following a car accident.

The club was formed in their memory and to provide young people with an opportunity to play competitively in a structured local league.

In 2010 SWIS FC registered with the Banbury District Lord Jersey League. The first official home ground was the Easington Recreational grounds on Harriers View. Their home kit is Gold & Black and their away kit is green & white.

In 2011 SWIS FC moved to their new home ground at Moorfield Park, West Street, where they have resided ever since. The change in grounds also led to an upshot in signed on members and as of 2012 they have had the largest number of signed on members in the BLJFA, averaging 55 each season. The only way to accommodate so many members was to introduce a reserve team into the leagues and this is exactly what was done in the 2012/13 season.

The most successful season to date has been the 2012/13 season. SWIS FC first team secured promotion by finishing 2nd in the league. Unfortunately at the end of the season the BDLJFA had decided to amalgamate the leagues due to lack of subscribed teams.

SWIS FC continues to go from strength to strength each year and has grown exponentially as a result from the efforts of the management committee, past and present members and the local community.

SWIS is currently looking to  enter a third team in the Sunday BDLJFA league for the 2016/2017 season.
